With wild-rhythm & hooks – Russell McLain burst into the music-scene of South Louisiana in 2003. Spending most of his time refining his sound and creating electrifying music that confidently incorporates Funk, Blues, Rock & Country into the mix – Russell McLain has become a reputable source of extraordinary entertainment for the people out there. Russell is currently working on his debut album titled "As Real As It Gets"  that will include hits like "Making Love In Every Room" and "The Ballad of Uncle JR".

Russell eat, sleeps, and breathes music you can hear it in the music and see it in the way he plays his music live with boundless passion, energy and enthusiasm. Blending intense musicianship, serious melody and pure heart.


Known for his unique vocal styling and improvisational guitar solos, Russell McLain is a versatile singer, songwriter, and multi- instrumentalist with influences such as Buddy Guy, Ronnie Dunn, Randy Houser, Otis Redding, and Delbert McClinton his energy, talent, and unique style leans into blue eyed just as much as it does country, rock, and r&b. Each performance takes the audience on a journey of untamed adventures.


In addition to performing for a loyal fan base, Russell's original music is another step forward crafting meaningful and emotional songs while still injecting energy into every performance.


Performing Highlights:


        Opening for Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd, and Marty Stuart as Lead Guitarist for Russell Walker and Bandera.

        Playing The Gretna Heritage Festival opening for Aaron Lewis and Hank Williams Jr. as Lead Vocalist & Front Man for The Sizzlin' Band.

        More recently Russell has performed at live venues ranging from Laguna Beach in Denham Springs, Louisiana to Tin Lizzy's in Springfield, Louisiana.

        He's played duo acoustic shows with Wild Heart Records Recording Artist Jonathon "Boogie" Long and Louisiana Hall of Famer Chris Leblanc.

        Most recently Russell worked with Whey Jennings (Grandson of Waylon Jennings).


Russell is just at home on a festival stage as he is in a listening room or nightclub. Russell's energy, charisma, and raw talent have made him a favorite within the Louisiana music scene.
